Error: Legacy Render Layers

If you get this error on render with Maya software:

Error: You are attempting to load a file that contains legacy render layers into a scene

You should be able to see the render layers in your outliner if you disable (uncheck) "DAG Objects Only" from the Display menu.

Maya always gives this error due to files being referenced in that have their own "Default Render Layer".
