Current AE — 2025 (v25.1)
Render on AE 2025 (v25.1) — the single managed version, kept current every year, not stuck on AE 2019 and not deprecated. Older project files open and force-render on the current build.
Render After Effects compositions in the cloud — AE 2025 (v25.1), Element 3D and Trapcode provisioned on request, ProRes and H.264 export, per-second billing. Stop watching your MacBook page-out at 11pm.
Typical 30-second 4K motion graphic at 24fps with Element 3D and Trapcode Particular: $6–$30 (~$12 typical, depending on plugin density and frame complexity).

Element 3D, Trapcode Suite, Red Giant Universe, Optical Flares, Sapphire, Magic Bullet, Stardust, Plexus — all provisioned on request. Tell us what your comp uses and we confirm your setup before you upload, so your stack works, no per-node math.
Your After Effects license travels with your scene under Adobe's Render-Only License. Plugin licensing handled the same way — no fragmented per-node math, no surprise blocks.
4K motion-graphic frames distribute across nodes — finish overnight comps in minutes. Scene Analysis catches missing footage and fonts before credits run.
Kinetic typography, lower-thirds, title cards, brand stings — the work that pins a single workstation for hours. Distributed rendering moves 4K motion-graphic timelines off your local machine and onto nodes built for the job. ProRes and H.264 motion-graphic comps that used to run overnight finish in minutes — frame-parallel rendering across the cluster, not a faster single CPU.
VFX shots stitched in After Effects — pyro plates over CG, screen comps with green-screen keys, deep-comp passes layered with mattes — usually mean long ram-preview waits and slow exports on a single workstation. Compositing-dense scenes with Element 3D, Trapcode Particular, or Sapphire effects parallelize cleanly across nodes, so heavy comps stop blocking the rest of the post pipeline.

Most submitted scenes have at least one issue our pre-render validation catches — broken external references, missing textures, bad output paths, or camera configuration errors. We surface these before render starts, so you don't pay for failed frames. For DCC plugin submissions (Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, C4D), validation runs locally before upload. For web-submitted scenes, it runs on our side before the job enters the render queue.
Every texture, proxy, and reference is verified reachable on the render node before the first sample fires.
Resolution, frame range, output path, and AOV stack are confirmed against your scene file — no surprise empty MultiPart EXR.
Engine licenses are confirmed on the assigned node before credits deduct. V-Ray, Redshift, Corona, Octane, Arnold all check pass / fail visibly.
Renderer version, plug-in versions, and required add-ons are matched against the node's installed stack. Mismatch → swap-to-compatible-node, not an error.

.aep with referenced footage, fonts, and licensed plugins — Scene Analysis catches missing footage, missing fonts, and plugin license mismatches before credits run. Frame-parallel rendering distributes 4K motion-graphic frames across CPU nodes; long composites finish in minutes instead of overnight. Third-party plugins — Element 3D, Trapcode Suite, Red Giant Universe, Optical Flares, Sapphire, Magic Bullet, Stardust, Plexus — are provisioned on request; tell us what your comp uses and we confirm your setup before you upload. BYO plugins (Saber, Twixtor, Continuum) supported the same way, via plugin file in scene upload. Output codecs: ProRes 422, ProRes 4444, H.264, DNxHR (HQ/HQX/SQ), image sequences (PNG, JPG, EXR, TIFF). Under the hood, jobs run through Adobe's aerender headless command-line renderer — the farm wraps aerender per node, so you submit the .aep and the queue handles the CLI invocation without manual scripting on your end. When a composition's final output needs encoding to a delivery codec, Adobe Media Encoder (AME) picks up where After Effects leaves off. The standard motion-graphics handoff — AE renders to ProRes, AME encodes to H.264 for client delivery — stays inside one submitted bundle, so a 4K motion-graphic piece renders the frames and encodes the master in a single job.Yes — eight third-party plugin packs are provisioned on request: **Element 3D** (Video Copilot), **Trapcode Suite** (Particular, Form, Tao, Mir, Shine, Echospace, Lux, Sound Keys, Starglow, Horizon), **Red Giant Universe**, **Optical Flares**, **Sapphire** (Boris FX), **Magic Bullet Suite** (Looks, Mojo, Cosmo, Denoiser), **Stardust** (Superluminal), and **Plexus** (Rowbyte). Tell us what your comp uses before you upload and we confirm your setup — no per-node license fragmentation to chase.
Yes. Render at any resolution your composition supports — 1080p, 2K, 4K, 5K, 8K. Resolution is one of the inputs to per-second billing, so 4K and 8K cost more than HD per frame. The Cost Calculator estimates the cost from your composition's resolution, frame count, and plugin density before you commit.
The standard motion-graphic delivery codecs are supported: **ProRes 422**, **ProRes 4444**, **H.264**, **DNxHR** (HQ, HQX, SQ), and image sequences (PNG, JPG, EXR, TIFF). For long-form composites, image sequences are typically more reliable than monolithic video output — the Render Queue sees frame-level progress and partial recovery if a frame errors.
We run a single managed version — **After Effects 2025 (v25.1)** — kept current every year, rendering through Adobe's built-in aerender engine. Projects authored in an older AE version open and force-render on 2025. Most cloud farms either lock to AE 2019 or have deprecated AE entirely; the goal here is to keep you on a current, supported build rather than force a downgrade.
You need a workstation Adobe license to author the After Effects project. Render-side, we operate under Adobe's standard **Render-Only License** terms — your license travels with the scene, our nodes execute the render. This is the standard model for AE cloud rendering and meets Adobe's terms for distributed render execution.

If your composition uses a plugin outside the eight provisioned-on-request packs — Saber (free, Video Copilot), Twixtor, Continuum, or a niche/artist-specific plugin — upload the plugin file alongside your .aep and we'll load it for the render, the same way as any other provisioned plugin. Custom plugins must be licensed for render-node use under their own terms; Render-Only License compliance is your call to verify with the plugin vendor.
**Scene Analysis** runs on your project before any render starts and reports missing fonts, missing footage, and plugin license mismatches. You see the result on the dashboard, fix the project (or convert text to shape layers if a Mac-bundled font isn't available on Windows nodes), and resubmit. Catches the class of error that breaks renders silently.
