Houdini
Houdini runs a single managed version — 21.0.440. Unlike Cinema 4D and After Effects, Houdini does not force-render older scenes onto the current build, so a 20.x project needs a matching build — contact us first.

Nuke
NukeX is supported on a contact-first basis. Tell us your version and workflow and we'll confirm before you upload — builds are provisioned on demand rather than kept on one fixed version.

How version confirmation works
Most rows above are marked ⚠️ Contact us first — that's a normal step, not a red flag.
- Tell us your build. Chat with us with your DCC version, render engine, and any plugins your project uses.
- We confirm or provision. We check it against what's running on the farm today. If something isn't installed yet, we provision it and confirm the exact combination with you.
- You upload. Once we've confirmed your setup, you upload your project and render as normal.
We'd rather confirm your exact version than guess — that's why so many rows above ask you to talk to us first.
FAQ
Q: My DCC or plugin version isn't listed here — can I still render on SuperRenders? A: Most likely yes. Chat with us and tell us your exact software and plugin versions — we'll confirm compatibility, provision anything we don't already have installed, and let you know before you upload. This page lists our current defaults, not a hard limit on what we can support.
Q: What happens if I upload an older project than the version you support? A: For Cinema 4D and After Effects, we run a single managed version each (2026 and 2025) — older project files are opened and force-rendered on that version automatically, so there's nothing extra you need to do. Houdini does not force-render to a newer build: a 20.x scene needs a matching Houdini build, so contact us first to confirm. For 3ds Max and Maya, older years within the supported ranges above render as-is; anything older than that range needs a quick confirmation.
Q: Do I need to install plugins myself, or are they provisioned for me? A: Core render engines and a number of plugins are already installed and ready to go — those are marked ✅ or ⚠️ in the tables above. For everything else, including all After Effects third-party plugins, we provision on request: tell us what your project uses, and we install and confirm it before you upload. We only mark something as installed when it's genuinely already on the farm.
Q: How often is this page updated? A: We re-verify this matrix at least quarterly, and update it sooner whenever we add a new DCC version, render engine, or plugin. The date at the top of this page reflects the last verification, and the changelog below tracks what's changed.
