IToo Software has announced an update to RailClone, its parametric modelling and layout system for 3DS Max. Changes in version 4.1.2 include updates to the Random number node to make it easier to synchronise randomised properties between generators and the ability to control a Generator’s Offset parameter using expressions, even when the style has been applied to multiple sub-splines. Nested generators have been improved with the ability to more accurately interpret the angle between Evenly objects when using Segments with the Bend setting disabled. There’s also a fix to prevent nested Generators produced different results depending on whether instancing was enabled or disabled. Clipping splines also see small improvements with ArrayCounter and XSplineMatID attributes now properly updated when using Clipping arrays. Find out more on the iToo Software website.
