Unity Technologies has announced the release of ArtEngine 2021.10, the latest version of its AI-powered material authoring toolset. A new feature of this release includes a Unity Direct Link that allows the user to output materials directly into a Unity project and modify them in ArtEngine. Other improvements include the ability to export materials as Unity asset packages meaning a separate plugin is no longer required, the ability to use built-in templates and create your own, a AI powered masking node called feature selector and more.
The announcement also mentions that ArtEngine is now significantly cheaper at $19.00/month instead of the previous entry point price of $95/month. In reality, the cheaper price had been available before during an extended promotional period, but this announcement makes the price change permanent, albeit by introducing a new introductory tier.
