Spline Dynamics has released Camera Clipping Pro, a new script for 3ds Max designed to simplify the handling of camera clipping planes.
This tool allows users to set clipping distances by linking them directly to scene objects, ensuring consistent framing even as the camera moves. Traditional clipping plane controls in 3ds Max typically require users to manually adjust distances each time the camera shifts. Camera Clipping Pro addresses this by binding near and far clipping planes to objects, maintaining their alignment with the target throughout camera movement.
Additionally, the plugin offers an “auto-adjust FOV” feature, which automatically changes the focal length to preserve framing.
Camera Clipping Pro supports 3ds Max Physical, V-Ray Physical, and Corona cameras. To learn more, visit Spline Dynamics’ website.
